LECHEM CHUKEINU לחם יומנו (DAILY BREAD)

10 Tevet 5779

Shalom Aleikhem ebed of Avinu YHWH Eloheinu, boker tov to all of you in the Mighty Shem of our Adonai and Moshia Yeshua HaMashiyach.

Let's pray.  YHWH Avinu Bashamayim, in the Mighty Shem of our Adonai and Moshia Yeshua HaMashiyach, we humble ourselves before You ABBA reverential fear and with complete adoration. We are truly blessed to be able to even come before Your Holy Throne YHWH Avinu. Modah Ani ABBA, toda for returning our souls back to our bodies. We owe all of our lives to You YHWH Tsadiq UMoshia. Toda raba El Malki!! In the Mighty Shem of our Adonai and Moshia Yeshua HaMashiyach. Amen.
Our message this morning is in Romans 6:1-14, it says: "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that Grace may abound? 2 By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Mashiyach Yeshua were baptized into His Death? 4 We were buried therefore with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Mashiyach Yeshua was raised from the dead by the Glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been united with Him in a death like His, we shall certainly be united with Him in a resurrection like His.6 We know that our old self was crucified with Him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. 7 For one who has died has been set free from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Him, we believe that we will also live with Him. 9 We know that Yeshua Ha Mashiyach, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over Him. 10 For the death He died to sin, once for all, but the life He lives He Lives to YHWH.11 So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to YHWH in Mashiyach Yeshua.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to make you obey its passions.13 Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to Adonai as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to YHWH as instruments for righteousness. 14 For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under Grace".
Our message for today does not imply that when we have accepted Yeshua Ha Mashiyach as our Moshia and Adonai and we are baptized, we won't be tempted. In fact, we are tested more than before. The Dam of Yeshua Ha Mashiyach has been shed so sin can have no power over us, but that is not to say that we can now still live like we did before we were saved. Not at all, the Word continues to say that we are dead to sin. It means our old habits can no longer rule over us, but we rule over them. The Power of Ruach Ha Kodesh inside us convicts us to not fall prey to ways that are unacceptable to Avinu. Kelim of YHWH Eloheinu, our conduct reflects our relationship with Avinu. That conduct should be more important to us, it reflects how we represent Him out there in the world. Can we confidently say that our neighbours and colleagues know that we are Mashiakim Yehudim, not because we told them, but because of our conduct? If not so, let us make a decision this morning to make it our personal goal to identify wrong conduct in our daily dealings. Let us pray and ask Avinu to help us to become His representative here on earth. Avinu YHWH Bashamayim, in the Mighty Shem of our Adonai and Moshia Yeshua HaMashiyach, toda ABBA for Your Word; may It please not return void, but convict us and make us what You have destined us to become. We humble ourselves before You YHWH Eloheinu, in the Mighty Shem of our Adonai and Moshia Yeshua HaMashiyach. Amen.
