Shalom Aleichem ebed of YHWH El Olam. I greet you in the Mighty Shem of our Adonai and Moshia Yeshua HaMashiyach. Let us pray!
Heavenly ABBA YHWH Avinu, in the Mighty Shem of our Adonai and Moshia Mashiyach Yeshua, we bow down before Your Holy Throne with reverential fear ABBA, not because we are any better or we are special, but we are nothing, mere mortals who do not deserve Your Mercy Avinu. Modah Ani YHWH Bashamayim! May You please direct our day today El Chai, may You please command Your Malakim from all four corners of the earth to go ahead of us and clear the roads for us, for those that are going to their different places of work and those that are still going to school. May You also please Protect our families and loved ones that are remaining at home. YHWH Hane'aman (Devarim 7:9), we trust in no one but You ABBA. In the Mighty Shem of our Adonai and Moshia Yeshua HaMashiyach. Amen.
Our Word for today comes from Shemot 16:16-21, It says:
"16 This is what YHWH has commanded: ‘Gather of it, each one of you, as much as he can eat. You shall each take an omer, according to the number of the persons that each of you has in his tent. ’” 17 And the people of Yisrae'l did so. They gathered, some more, some less. 18 But when they measured it with an omer, whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack. Each of them gathered as much as he could eat. 19 And Moshe said to them, “Let no one leave any of it over till the morning.” 20 But they did not listen to Moshe. Some left part of it till the morning, and it bred worms and stank. And Moshe was angry with them. 21 Morning by morning they gathered it, each as much as he could eat; but when the sun grew hot.
On the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers each. And when all the leaders of the congregation came and told Moshe, he said to them, “This is what YHWH has commanded: ‘Tomorrow is a day of solemn rest, a Holy Shabbath to Adonai; bake what you will bake and boil what you will boil, and all that is left over lay aside to be kept till the morning.”So they laid it aside till the morning, as Moshe commanded them, and it did not stink, and there were no worms in it."
Today's Word teaches us about obedience; obedience to the One Who Created us, YHWH Tzevao't. Obedience is better than sacrifice ebed of YHWH. The children of Yisrae'l chose not to listen to instructions from Moshe for reasons they believed were valid for them. They chose to do what they think is right, not what Elohim had "commanded" through Moshe. The results were devastating, imagine rotten food crawling with worms and smelling, in a scorching heat of the dessert!!! But when they repented and did as YHWH has told them through Moshe, the results were different, no food went to waste even though they gathered more than the daily dose. So our lesson for today is that no matter how much we think we know, we actually don't know Ebed of YHWH Eloheinu. We do not know, only He knows; so let us stop taking His Heavenly Ordained Purpose for our lives and reshaping it the way we see fit, no matter how in line it might seem to be with the Purpose of YHWH, if it is not His command, it is wrong!!! We will find ourselves running around with things half done in our lives because we started them for ourselves and are unable to finish. Let us learn to master the trait of Being Still and waiting on El Emunah (Devarim 32:4), He is truly Faithful, when He Promises that He will deliver, He will. We just need to wait just a little bit longer. Today is one less day from our Promises, so it means when we see tomorrow, we are definitely a day closer to our Heavenly Promises!!!!
Let's pray
Heavenly YHWH Malkeinu, toda for Your Word ABBA, may It please pierce through our spirits and our souls like a double edged Sword that It is. May It please mold us and shape us to become better human beings, that are created to Glorify You. May our daily obedience of Your Powerful Word Magnify You to the world Avinu. Please give us the Wisdom to identify right from wrong, sometimes we think we are right but we are very wrong. We thank You YHWH YHWH El Rachum Vechanun Erek Apeiyim Verav Chesed Veemet (Shemot 34:6), in the Mighty Shem of our Adonai and Moshia Mashiyach Yeshua. Amen.
Chazak u'varuch!! Shalom!!
